Rod Material

Although there are a number of materials that fishing rods are made from, the most common include boron, graphite, fiberglass, and composites, which are merely a mixture of any of the other three materials. In most cases, the rod made from graphic produces the greatest level of sensitivity while the boron rod is great in that it quickly goes back into its original shape, which allows you to set your hook fast and deep once you get a bite.

If budget were a concern, then the fiberglass fishing rod would be an excellent choice. Additionally, the fiberglass rod stands up well and is a good, all-around option.
