Bridges

If possible, when fishing for trout do not overlook the benefits of the bridge. Since a bridge is a great place for prey because of the way in which the water and channel come together, it is a great place for trout. You will also find that the structure of a bridge is an excellent shelter for trout.

If you prefer catching those large trout, you want to cast as far under the bridge as possible when fishing upstream. Additionally, it is crucial that you approach a bridge keeping your body position low and being very quiet, which is called the "Stealth Approach".

Typically, there are great deep pools underneath bridges, which is why this is an excellent fishing point. One note, the deeper in the water the trout lies, the more visibility it has of the surface, which includes both prey and predators.
